SpringVoxBox from Influenster!

Its that time again! I received the SpringVoxBox from Influenster for a second year in a row (totally not complaining!) Before I begin, let me slap this little badboy down to cover my legal tushie!

BAM! Okay so here we go!

First off, here is a photo of the box itself:

Gotta say, really impressed with this box. They gave a good variety of things, and things I will actually use!

Lets go from top left to right here and start with the Nivea. I haven't been using this for two weeks yet, so I haven't really noticed any "skin firming" going on. That being said, I don't really have an issue with saggy skin yet. Call it great genetics...well at least in the realm of skin. The rest is hit or miss. ANYWAY, I like the lotion. It is hydrating, smells good and isn't greasy. Those are the three most important things to me so its a winner in my book. Click here to go to the Nivea Facebook page.

Next is that weird pie thing. Its an air freshener for the movie Labor Day. Honesty time here - I hate those types of movies. I'm not a normal girl...sappy love stories make me want to gag. I also haven't put the air freshener in my car because its over 100 out right now and air fresheners last at MOST a week. I'm going to wait until fall and enjoy its peach pie goodness in full.

Next is the Rimmel London Scandaleyes Retro Glam mascara. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhmylanta. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this mascara. I had never tried a Rimmel mascara. I love their lipsticks, the Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl liners are one of my favs on the market and their limited edition nail polishes are super cute. That being said, I am going to definitely keep a tube of this stuff in my rotation. The only thing I will do in the future is purchase the waterproof version of this. This version is easy to remove, it also sweats off easily in our walking on the face of the sun heat we endure in the summer. This was a sleeper hit out of the box for me.

Next are the Kiss Nails Everlasting French. Brutal honesty time...I never use the fake nails when they send them. My real nails are longer than these fake ones, why should I bother? I am going to give them to someone at work though so they won't go to waste. Now...if I were going to use glue on fake nails I would probably give these a shot. They have these little tabs on them that are supposed to make it easier to place the nail on in the right spot. That is a definitely plus. One thing I remember about glue on and press on nails from my teenage years is they were always a pain in the ass to get on straight. A+ to Kiss for coming up with a simple solution to that.

Playtex Sport tampons. I would use them if they weren't scented. I've used that brand forever and would never think of using another. I can't stand tampons but these are the most comfy out of all of them. Not much else to say here.

The final thing in the box was not sent to everyone, SO I FEEL SO EXTRA SPECIAL!!!!!!!! Especially since it is my FAVOURITEST thing in the box! SoftLips CUBE! OH EM GEE! I was already a huge fan of these but I had not tried the pomegranate blueberry one! I have the mint one, got the vanilla and mint for Mom and the pom blue for Heather. Eeee I love it!!! I have been a huge EOS fanatic but man, these blow the EOS out of the water when it comes to how smooth they go on and the healing benefits of it. I will never toss out my EOS (I still dig 'em like Sugarsmacks) but these are my tippy top fav right now. I have the one from this box in my bathroom and use it every night. My mint one lives in my purse. End-of-story. Not living without. Evah!

Okay so...that's all folks. I'm going to throw in my YouTube unboxing for the heck of it. LOVE YOUR FACES!

Purex® Insiders Review - Purex® No Sort for Colors Detergent

Hi everyone! Second Purex® Insiders Review of the night, this time for the No Sort for Colors Detergent (click here for the website.)

This is what the bottle & product looks like:

Pretty snazzy. Anyway, this stuff works just like it says it will. I haven't had any colour transfer within either all colour loads or my "neutrals" (black/white/grey) loads.

They do have a contest running right now for $1000 + 1 yr supply of the detergent here.

My very short vlog about it is here:

Purex® Insiders Review - Purex® Crystals in Fabulously Fresh (Limited Edition)

Hello everyone! These are the photos to go along with the video review I will list below. This is for Purex Crystals (click here to go to the product website) in the limited edition scent of Fabulously Fresh. I did receive it free to try and review from the Purex Insiders.

Here's the front of the bottle, if you are looking for it. This 28oz bottle at Walmart runs about $5 and about the same at Target as well. The 55oz bottle is normally around $9 but you can get it on sale at Target for $8 sometimes.

The scent of this is kind of hard to describe. I think I said it was like a candied floral scent. I do like it. Its very fresh & clean smelling. I just don't know how to describe it! I have sniffed the lavender blossom one and I do prefer the fabulously fresh to the lavender blossom. I have not sniffed the original blue one or the pink baby one...so I can't give you a comparison there.

These are an in-wash fragrance booster, but I could not smell them on the items as soon as I took them out of the dryer. I was so disappointed! I think they were too hot. Once it cooled back down to room temperature I could smell the fresh scent again. I do have to say the scent does last for at least a week on sheets & blankets that are in use. It also smells really good hanging out in my linen closet coming from the folded sheets and towels that are waiting for use!

Here's what the product looks like poured in to the measuring cap of a cup and in the washer drum:

They are kind of day glow, but they did not stain my clothing in any way.

All in all I am very impressed with these crystals. I gave away my coupons at work to co-workers with lots of kids who I knew would give this stuff a workout!

Thank you all for reading. My video review is below.

Target Spring Preview Box

Helllloooo!!!! Okay...another Influenster VoxBox review time. First off, lets get this out of the way..

Now then, mooooooving right along. This box is the Target Spring Preview VoxBox. Each box could have any number of items in it. I believe there were 5 or 6 different brands (all health & beauty) and then 10 or so options from those brands that could be in the box? Something like that. Anyway, A LOT OF VARIETY! And I totally lucked out!!!!!! ♥

I received the Sonia Kashuk Shine Luxe Sheer Lip Colour in Sheer Juicy Coral. I was wanting a coral lipstick for this summer and boy did I get a good one.

The colour is so beautiful! It wears nicely and is not drying at all. The shade is not shimmery like the bottom of the container, at least not on my lips. Sorry I don't have any pictures with it on - I always forget!

Anway, these retail for $10.99 at Target - Click here to see the page

I also did an unboxing video - so here's that for ya.

Thank you all for reading!

Until next time......

J'Adore VoxBox from Influenster

Hi everyone! Its review time. Let me first say I received this box and all the products complimentary from Influenster to try and review. If you aren't familiar with Influenster it is a company that sends out products for people to test and review free of charge. I have some invites left to Influenster, so if you are interested just leave me a comment and I can get one of them sent your way.

Here's a video of my unboxing:

So now you know the items, lets get in to the review parts.

My review for the clay mask is the post just before this one so I won't rehash it. I have not used it again, I just didn't want to risk drying my skin out like that again. No bueno.

I didn't use the lashes but I did give them to a coworker who wears them for plays. She loved them and said they were good quality. I cannot do lashes, I am so lash dumb. I glue them halfway up my eyelid. I knew she would use them so I passed them along to her.

Hershey Kisses - what can I say about them? They have been around forever and taste the same. I'm not a huge chocolate fan but sometimes you just have that little craving. They are the perfect size to knock that craving out and not put a bunch of calories in to your mouth. I still have a ton of them left though so I'm thinking of making those thumb print cookies with the kisses in the middle to bring to work.

The Red Rose Tea - I am drinking some right now. It is the Creme Caramel flavour. It smells fantastic, very rich. The taste isn't as rich as the smell, which is good. The tea is very light and the caramel flavour is more of a hint. I put in one packet of Sugar in the Raw (I don't like my tea overly sweet.) Its quite nice and seems like it would be a good alternative for the caramel coffee I like to chug.

I honestly have not used the Frizz Ease. I don't flat iron my hair that often and haven't had the desire to do it lately.

I didn't receive any Vaseline Men's lotion so there's no way I can review it or complete any of those tasks. I have a feeling that might count against me with them but...oh well.

So that's the box in a nutshell. :) Thanks for reading!

Boots Botanics Ionic Clay Mask - from the Influenster J'Adore VoxBox - March 2014 - #powerofplants

Good morning all! Thought I would review a product I received for free to try/review in my latest VoxBox from Influenster, zeeee J'Adore box!!! Getting the legalese thangs out of the way...

OKAY! Here we go.

I received a full size Boots Botanics Ionic Clay Mask in the box...it looks like such (clicky the pic to go to their website about it)

Its your normal squeezy tube filled with clay mask substance. I will say this - make sure you shake the crud out of it before applying. It was fine at first then got SUPER runny and just went all over the place. I closed it, shook and smooshed it around, then it was fine again. It was very easy to spread on my face and the dry time was about 10 minutes, just as stated on the tube.

As you can see from the picture below, the mask changes from a darker shade to a light green/grey as it is drying. Makes it super easy to tell when it is done. There is also NO SCENT at all! Talk about WONDERFUL!

For some reason this stupid patch took an extra 5 minutes or so to dry. I guess my face needed extra time there.

Once it was completely dry it was very easy to rinse away. My skin felt super soft when it was done, although a touch dry. I put on my normal moisturizing routine when I was done and left it at that.

Flash forward to the next day: I was doing a makeup look for another program I'm a part of. I noticed, HOLY CRAP MY SKIN IS FLAKY DRY!!!!!!!! ARGH! Look at my nose and along my forehead/hairline. Those are the two areas of my face that get the driest.

The only thing I did different was use that mask. I even applied extra moisturizer before I put my makeup on! Argh...

SO....while my skin felt nice and soft immediately after using the mask, it was dry as Death Valley the next day. I took my makeup off and used about two/three times as many moisture products on my face to get it back to normal. I'm sure it would be a great mask for me to use when I'm traveling to say...DC, Portland, Seattle, San Francisco...places where my face tends to get oilier. I'm going to save it for those trips (which I do have to take) rather than using here in the desert. The website says that it removes the impurities without over drying. Yea...I might try it again just to be sure it was the mask and not some other fluke making my skin turn into a flaky mess. But...first impression...eh.

I'd rate it 3 out of 5....but wouldn't spend $10 on it in the future for sure.
