Review of Rimmel London Gentle Eye Makeup Remover

Hello lovelies! I have a review today for the Rimmel London Gentle Eye Makeup Remover that I received in the Influenster Frosty Vox Box (I almost typed Fox Box!) As always, Influenster sent the product free to try for reviewing purposes. And, as always, my opinions are my own!

So, here we go. I decided to give this Rimmel stuff a run for its money. I wore waterproof eye primer AND glitter all day - then used this stuff to remove it. Here are the photo results... (ignore my big red nose)

Here are my eyeballs with all the glitter and shadow glory. If you know anything about glitter you KNOW what a pain it is to remove. Its worth it though ;)

Here's a shot of the bottle - it retails for about $7 - $8 depending on where you purchase it. I have seen it in the flesh at Walgreens so far. I haven't seen it at Walmart, but I don't really venture far in to Walmart these days. I haven't been to Target since it was released.

I just used round cotton pads to apply the remover to my eyes - standard operating procedure here.

This is after one swipe. Can you see all the glitter on there? I was pretty impressed. You can also see how much was actually removed from my eye on that pass.

This was after the second pass...as you can see - more liner and such than glitter was taken off. I did flip the pad over for this second pass.

Overall I used 3 pads - but this is normal for me. One for each eye then a third for any final removal of product. I also included a shot of my eyes after it was all over and done with.

I'm pretty impressed with the quality of this product. Is it revolutionary and unlike other stuff out there? Not really. I do like that its oil free and doesn't feel greasy AT ALL. But...the generic from Target does the same thing for me and is about $3 cheaper. I would definitely repurchase it if the price point came down a little. It is in the same price range as the Neutrogena type products, so for a name brand the price isn't out of the ordinary. If my generics disappeared off the face of the planet I definitely would go for this one next. I know what to expect from it - hell it removed glitter with no problemo.
